PREPARING YOUR PROJECT PRESENTATION
Shared
Learning
Experience
There
will be a two-day shared learning experience that involves oral
presentations,
discussions and evaluations of projects - the process,
results
and learning.
Developing
a High
Impact
Presentation
You will
receive information and suggestions for preparing your oral
presentation
during the Effective Presentations class. It is also
appropriate
for you to seek feedback and suggestions from your advisor.
The
Audience The audience consists of cohort members and project advisors. Guests
may include
team members, supervisors, managers, OCPM Advisory
Board
members, alumni, and Curriculum Committee members.
Know
your audience! What are their needs, concerns, and interests?
How much
do they know about what you or the team has done? Put
yourself
in their place. What would you want to know?
Length
You will have 20 minutes for your presentation and 10 minutes for
questions and discussion.
Preparation
Identify key points that should be covered. Prepare an outline to help
organize your presentation. Decide on materials and visual aids
that will
be needed. Use your project plan and written report as a guide to
